Brant Richards

Tinkering with things since he was little, Brant’s first foray into the bike industry was as a Saturday boy at Two Wheels Good on Call Lane in Leeds. Through various confusing twists and turns, he ended up as Technical Editor for MBUK, then Editor of MBR magazine, then Bikemagic. First producing a women's specific brand perhaps ill advisedly called “Smart Tart” in 1993, he stayed with magazines, before moving across to launch the On-One brand in 1999. Moving to Chain Reaction Cycles for a few years he launched the Ragley brand and worked to develop the first Nukeproof suspension frames, relaunched the Vitus brand and then returned to on-one to develop the Codeine, Fatty, Parkwood, as well as many models for Planet X, Titus and Holdsworth. Now working with Alpkit on the Sonder bike range and Mango Bikes on their models, he’s just diversified into trousers with HebTroCo with partner in crime Ed Oxley. Brant is 46 and should know better. Lives in Hebden Bridge with his partner and many children.
